Coach Contact Rules
As a Sophomore in H.S:
-You may receive information about the college but the coach cannot call you.
-You may meet with the coach unofficially, but official visits and off-campus contact is not allowed.
As a Freshman & Sophomore in H.S:
-You can call coaches and coaches can send information and contact you.
-Off-Campus contact is allowed after your sophomore year and Unofficial visits are allowed but Official visits are not allowed.
As a Sophomore in H.S:
-You may receive information about the college and call the coach but the coach cannot contact you until after June 15th. Off-campus contact is also allowed after June 15th.
You may meet with the coach unofficially, but official visits and off-campus contact is not allowed.
As a Junior in H.S:
-Beginning September 1st of your Junior year, coaches can send information and contact you although these must be private exchanges.
-You may meet with the coach unofficially, and have off-campus contact beginning July 1st of your Junior year, but official visits are not allowed.
As a Junior in H.S:
-You can call coaches and coaches can send information and contact you.
-Off-Campus contact is allowed and Unofficial visits are allowed but Official visits are not allowed untill January 1st.
As a Junior in H.S:
-You can call coaches and coaches can send information and contact you.
-You may meet with the coach unofficially and have off-campus contact, but Official visits are not allowed.
As a Senior in H.S:
-You can call coaches and coaches can send information and contact you.
-Off-Campus contact is allowed and Unofficial visits are allowed but Official visits are allowed but only 1 per college.
As a Senior in H.S:
-Coaches can send information and contact you although these must be private exchanges.
-You may not meet coaches off-campus more than 3 times.
-On opening day of classes, you may begin official visits to a maximum of 5 D1 colleges.
As a Senior in H.S:
-You can call coaches and coaches can send information and contact you.
-You can visit coaches off-campus any amount of time.
-On opening day of classes, you may begin official visits to a maximum of 5 D1 colleges and any amount of visits to D2, D3, NAIA and NJCAA level colleges.
Eligibility for Recruitment:
-Finish Junior year of H.S.
-Check with institution you are interested in for insitution-specific rules regarding communication and visits.
Eligibility to Play:
-NAIA is less strict than D1-3 schools in terms of communication with coaches.
-Register with the NAIA Eligibility center
-Get in touch with your Guidance Counselor for further steps involing submitting your high school transcript and potential scholarships.
